Pooch + Pup began with one small dog and a very big love.

In 2010, a rescue pup named Pickles chose me.
Curled into my lap. Settled into my life.
From that moment, everything shifted.

She was particular. Especially about food.

I cooked. I adjusted. I tried again.
Some days she ate. Some days she didn’t.

What I remember most isn’t the effort.
It’s the mess.

Bowls sliding across the floor.
Leftovers wrapped and rewrapped.
Containers stacked without a system.
A fridge full of good intentions.

When Pickles became unwell, the routine felt heavier. I would spend hours preparing meals she might accept, storing portions wherever they fit, hoping something would work.

It wasn’t calm.
It wasn’t considered.

And I knew there had to be a better way.

Pooch + Pup was created from that real experience. Not from trend. Not from novelty. From care.

I wanted feeding to feel grounded.
Structured.
Intentional.
